Chip was ordained Deacon in January 2013 and was deployed to Trinity in October that year. He has found the Trinity community to be a very welcoming and vibrant one with dedicated lay leadership and a strong commitment to service, faith formation and youth ministry.

He has a passion for mission and is interested in developing collaborative relationships between faith communities and the communities they serve in order to achieve sustainable action to improve the lives of all people. He is also committed to helping others find and pursue their passion for ministry.

In addition to his work at Trinity and in the community Chip also serves on the Episcopal Church of Minnesota's Standing Committee and the Commission for Formation, a subcommittee of the Commission on Ministry.

He and his wife, Lynne, live in Plymouth. They have five children and six grandchildren, all of whom they are fortunate to have living in the Twin Cities area. Together they enjoy time with family and friends and many outdoor activities, including hiking and gardening, and road trips to explore the countryside
